Michelle Richard - Director

Michelle lives in Bedford, Nova Scotia and is a member of the Nova Scotia Scleroderma Support Group.  In 2000 Michelle retired as the Parks & Recreation Director for the Village of Bible Hill, after being diagnosed with Scleroderma.  Michelle’s initial battle with Scleroderma quickly became life threatening and she spent 9 months on kidney dialysis until kidney function returned to acceptable levels. 

Since Michelle’s initial diagnosis she has worked very hard to regain her health and to help others live better with this disease.

Besides her work with the Nova Scotia Scleroderma Support Group, Michelle volunteers with the Arthritis Society and Recreation Nova Scotia.
