2015 has been an exciting year for Scleroderma Canada. Our national office under the leadership of our Chief Executive Officer, Anna McCusker, has been flourishing and continues to give Scleroderma Canada the ability to achieve it’s mandate.
Under the leadership of Maureen Sauve, VP Public Relations and Advocacy, Scleroderma Canada continues to have a strong National and International presence, advocating for patients and families living with this progressive, chronic and debilitating disease.
I am thrilled to be working with an amazing board, dedicated volunteers and a committed team of health professionals from across the country and internationally. This upcoming year will be an exciting time for SSC as we continues to establish our reputation as a leading voice for scleroderma patients in the fields of treatment and research. Through the launching of our national magazine, “Scleroderma Canada” we will be able to reach out to those in isolated communities with the latest in research, advocacy strategies and inspirational stories from those living with scleroderma.
Scleroderma Canada will continue to engage in advocacy, provide continue support to research and work with provincial, national and international partners to provide current and relevant information on scleroderma. Through the success of the Hard Word Hard Disease campaign, which has been adopted as a national brand, Scleroderma Canada has expanded its June awareness activities by increasing the number of confirmed Run/Walks across the country.
I invite you to join us in Montreal at our national conference. Come learn and engage with patients, health professionals and researchers in the field of Scleroderma.
